    Hi Siddharth:

As long as it is  basic Java, I would think the answer to you question is yes. Asking Hiko_Davis and Guenter_Grossberger to chime in

    Thanks

Please refer to SAP'S website or the Marketplace and look for SAP Extended Diagnostics by CA Wily. Then contact your SAP Account Executive if you're interested in purchasing the solution.

DataPower monitoring is available as an paid addon solution to APM. Please contact your CA Presales representative for details.

    Siddharth,

I strongly recommend the DataPower add on that Haruhiko Davis mentioned previously.  However, if that is not feasible for some reason (and depending on what DataPower metrics you want to monitor), it is possible to write scripts to pull the metrics from the DataPower devices using SNMP polling to an external server and then use EPAgent to report those metrics up to Introscope.  We used this method successfully for several years before CA developed the DataPower add on.

That having been said, I would be remiss if I did not mention that developing the requisite scripts is very manpower intensive and the scripts often need to be modified/updated following a firmware upgrade.  The CA add on provides a plethora of very useful metrics with a minimum of customization/configuration required.

Just as a reminder: you cannot use APM to monitor applications within the SAP landscape. You will need to deploy RTV ("Right To View") or SED (SAP Extended Diagnostics by CA Wily).

SED will allow you to use Bytecode Agents (BCA) to do custom instrumentation as if you're using one of the APM Java or .NET agents.

So if you're interested in the full functionality of SED, please contact your SAP Account Executive about purchasing SED.
