  • 1.  Acknowledge alarms assigned to others

    Hi,

I work in a call center that has many other people looking at the enterprise console accepting alarms. However if they go off shift the alarm remains in their name and cannot be acknowledged until they come in the next day or if someone with higher privileges and assigned the alarm to themselves.

I do not want to give the normal operators privileges to assign to other people or unassigned alarms from themselves as it's take responsibility away from them after working on an alarm.

Is there a setting that would allow anyone to acknowledge a cleared alarm accepted by another operator?

    Thanks in advance.

This limitation is enforced by the Enterprise Console (and the alarm subconsole) and is not a limitiation of the NAS.  So, you may infact run a request against the NAS command-interface (close_alarms) and provide it with a "by" and a "nimid" parameter.  This can be achieved through the CLI interface pu.exe.
You can even automate this by a AO rule or through NAS scripting.
