Just an FYI in case you didn’t see the news yet, but IBM have recently announced the end of marketing for DB2 10 in July 2015 and the end of Support for September 2017.
These may seem a long way off but the EOM date is closer and very important for any customers who may still be on V8 or DB2 9 because after September next year you won’t be able to place an IBM order that includes DB2 10. This means they need to have done so and have the software on-site before September next year otherwise they’ll be stuck with no easy way to migrate to a more recent an supported release.
Also it’s worth bearing in mind that most large customers with >100 subsystems take probably 2 years to complete a version upgrade so if they want to stay on support they need to be starting relatively soon.
