How to discover Network Devices on CA UIM

Hi Guys,

 

          I have discovered Server with "Nimsoft Robots" installed and Server with SNMP enabled just byusing "RSP probe".

 

         I have discovered our Cisco Router using "Cisco Monitor Probe". It is staight forward and easy. But I do have other Routers and I don't know how to discover them. I have see "interface traffic" probe under Network but its just gives me the interfaces avilable on the router. 

 

       Can some one guide me how can I discover non-Cisco devices to check CPU and Memory with SNMP enabled on it.

I guess snmpcollector would be the new and modern way to do that.

I tired using SNMP Collector, it is to poll the existing devices not for the new ones.

 

 I have discovered a HP V1910 Switch, I am seeing in the UMP under Inventory but I am not able to see any metrics for that.

 

  How can I see the metrics for the Switch or How can I see this Switch in my Infrastructure Manager under the Hub.

You can't. snmpcollector management is through the new Admin Console only (unless you look at raw configure).

   I found the soultion. Its not SNMP Collector, its SNMPGET Probe.

 

    U can add  the Network Devices as agents under SNMP GET Probe.  You can enabled the MIBS on the network devices and use MIB Browse.

 

   And u can active required metrics on thhat once you add the required Deviced as Agents under it.

If you dont mind can you share screen shots , am using uim 8.5.1 , am able to see required mibs under mibs browser . but how to add it the agent created on snmp get.
