I dont know the oracle probe well, but my DBA team is saying they need to run a Oracle QUERY and I wnat to be able to store the data in QOS so I can display on a dashboard? how do I do it, I am sure its simple but i just keep hitting a wall.
I believe the SQL_Response probe is what you are looking for here.
From the help file:
Monitoring System Requirements The sql_response probe allows the user to monitor response of user defined queries for Oracle, SQL Server, Informix, DB2 and Sybase databases.
yep sqlresponse I believe you will need the clients for oracle on the machine where you put the sql response probe.
Thank you both for the quick reply I knew I was just missing something "simple"
You could also query the oracle Db direct from the dashboard (via the UMP server). If you set up a datasource in the dap on the UMP server to connect to the oracle db then you can use this in your dashboards.
