OPS/MVS

Hi all, is there anyone familiar with IBM's Netcool/Omnibus product? We'd like to feed  events from CA-OPS/MVS (directly) into that, and understood that some API should be available. Just cannot find it frown

We don't have Netview and/or the Event Pump (..) installed

Anybody that may shed some light?

    Thanks

I am not aware of an API from OPS/MVS into Netcool, but in the past I have worked with clients to get events from OPS/MVS to Netcool. Typically we just send SNMP traps directly to Netcool and then Netcool processes the incoming trap and performs whatever action is requried.  Netcool would need to have the appropriate customization done to process the trap and take the requried actions.  It is usually advantageous to define a format for the traps going to Netcool so that Netcool can parse them appropriately.  For example, the format might be something like this:

date time system severity group messageid messagetext...
