    Hi,
    I installed a Java Agent for Tomcat in Linux, I can see my agent in the Investigator, but I see only two metrics: EM Host and EM Port but I can’t see the others metrics that normally I see in my others Java Agents.

    This is my configuration in the catalina.sh file:

    # ----- Wily Introscope ---------------------------------------
    # Place this code right before the commented-out start command
    # Only put Wily on the classpath when starting Tomcat
    WILY_HOME="/opt/IntroscopeTomcat41Agent9.0.6.5-Linux/wily"
    # NOTE: Configuration below for jdk versions >= 1.5
    WILY_ARGS=-javaagent:$WILY_HOME/Agent.jar
    WILY_NAME="-Dcom.wily.introscope.agent.agentName=Tomcat_WRB"
    WILY_OPTS="-Dcom.wily.introscope.agentProfile=$WILY_HOME/IntroscopeAgent.profile $WILY_NAME"
    .
    .
    .
    "$_RUNJAVA" "$LOGGING_CONFIG" $WILY_ARGS $WILY_OPTS $JAVA_OPTS $CATALINA_OPTS \
    -Djava.endorsed.dirs="$JAVA_ENDORSED_DIRS" -classpath "$CLASSPATH" \
    -Djava.security.manager \
    -Djava.security.policy=="$CATALINA_BASE"/conf/catalina.policy \
    -Dcatalina.base="$CATALINA_BASE" \
    -Dcatalina.home="$CATALINA_HOME" \
    -Djava.io.tmpdir="$CATALINA_TMPDIR" \
    org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap "$@" start \
    "$CATALINA_OUT" 2>&1 &
    Can you help me please.
    Thanks and have a nice day.
    Luis

    i think that you have either a problem in the autoprobe (bad pbd files) or a problem in the em (saturated em with too much metrics)

    look at apm status console if you can to see if the em appears in red or not ( or look in the logs to see some ERROR)

    Hi Luis,

    According to me, out of many possibilities you must check -
    1.Your IntroscopeAgent.profile file and see if you have mentioned the required Pbd files in the directives.
    2.Try to run your application via browser i.e. perform couple of transactions by hitting the Application's URL.

    Hi Luis,

    Had a question about the behavior. Was this working fine and it broke all of a sudden or has it been this way ever since you started the Agent?

    We had something similar come up, where the Memory Leak in the Server was causing the Agent to not show the metrics in the investigator.

    Hitting the URL would show you just the Frontends/JSPs/Servlets...etc, if that was the case you should have been able to see the Backends, CPU, GC Heap...etc.

    What does the Autoprobe Log say?

    Thanks,

    KIRAN T
