Admin guide says netflow/IPFix
and regarding version it talks only about netflow
Does NFA support huewai and alcatel flows?
IPFIX is equivalent to version 9 of netflow. There is no other version of IPFIX. What type of flows do the huewai and alcatel devices send? If it's IPFIX and it's properly formed and it's sending the template file like it should (some vendors don't know how to do this properly) NFA shouldn't have any problems with it.
this thread would work for you. https://communities.ca.com/web/ca-ehealth-and-ca-spectrum-global-user-community/message-board/-/message_boards/message/100158169;jsessionid=A0400F10B64D6C9222602ED05966A08F?p_p_auth=gxZ5yBC1&

So you mean to say that IPFIX of different vendors are supported by NFA and noy just cisco netflow?
No. I'm saying that NFA supports NetFlow v5 and v9 (which is a proprietary Cisco protocol) and IPFIX, which is the open standard equivalent of Cisco NetFlow v9. If the vendor is sending flows according to the standard, NFA supports it.

Hello
I would be carefull with such a statement. Right now one of our customers has indeed problems with bidirectional flows from a cisco device that are "standard" but not yet supported by NFA.
@Lekshmi: see Tecdoc https://comm.support.ca.com/?legacyid=TEC597610 for required fields for NetFlow data to be displayed in NFA. In the end nothing helps but testing the flow.

Good point. I guess i should say that if the vendor is sending flows that support the standard and are including all the required fields, NFA supports it.
FYI, all the information in that protected KB is also available in a tech tip accessible through the wiki. (No active support contract required)
