Filter on Tags in Excel Add-In

I can readily export work items in the Excel Add-In but I want to create an export that filters using the Tags field. If I add a filter on Tags contains any valid tag name, e.g. pmo_exec I get "Query failed due to errors: Cannot parse object reference from "<tag name>".

Thoughts? Am I missing something or is this a defect in the add-in? I can make the same filter in a Custom List and it works fine.

The query is a realy simple one, the only filter statement in the query is (Tags contains "pmo_exec"). Screen shot of the query setup:
