On-Premise 2014.2 Release. The release notes for this release describe "Roadmap" functionality. However, I have heard this concept has been "scrapped" by Rally. What Portfolio functionality is in 2014.2?

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your question regarding Portfolio functionality in 2014.2.  Through many conversations with our customers the Milestone functionality has been identified as being more valueable than the Roadmap functionality.  For the time being we have decided to focus our efforts on building out Milestones.  Roadmap functionality was only in beta and is behind a feature toggle therefore not available in On-Premises.

Hi – Thanks. Are there current Release Notes where I could read more about this? The available release notes (http://help.rallydev.com/rally-onpremise-20142-release-notes) do not touch on Milestone functionality? Thanks, Andy Bross

Hi Andy,

I am afrad that we do not currently have any release notes available for the Milestone functionality.  This is work we are still actively delivering on and will first be releasing it as beta functionality for our SaaS customers.  Once we have released this functionality and it has been removed from behind the feature toggle this functionality will be delivered to our On-Premises customers.  At this time we don't have a definite timeframe for when tthat will be.

What I can tell you is that Milestones are named dates that allow you to track your work according to important deadlines for your business.  They will be available on all artifact types (Stories, Defects, Portfolio Items, etc).
