Just a note for those of you installing 2014.2 that tl;dr the release notes: Customers with a large amount of data may experience a longer migration time Some customers with a large amount of data may experience a longer artifact_tag_string migration time when restoring or restarting Rally. The amount of time the migration runs depends on the data size. Please let it run all the way through.

Hello - I was wondering if there was any frame of reference for this?  Specifically, what is considered a large amount of data?

@Ryan Knoblauch  We would expect that if you have 2GB or less of data this migration could take up to a couple hours to run.  More data than that and this migration could take several hours to complete.  This is also dependent on your disk subsystem so this is something to consider as well.  Our recommendation is to take a backup of your current data, standup a testing VM and test the upgrade process.  Doing this will give you a good idea of how long the entire process will take when you are ready to upgrade your production environment.  Please let us know if you have any further questions.
