If you were running a small live Plex system that works perfectly well for only one user on a laptop and somebody came to you and asked you to make this available to multiple users and gave you a healthy budget what environment would you choose? What hardwardware platform and what variant of Plex?

At the same time they want you to implement a server environment in their new office to handle the usual e-mail, file and print sharing etc. I have been looking at IBM i-series 710 server or their Pure Flex offerring, but perhaps a more conventional windows based server environment might be the way to go. IBM are trying to talk me into the Linux route which I can't see as a good idea.

I would look to the cloud and lets some one else deal with hardware!

Plex7.1 7.0 has increased support for Azure. What variants are you using for the small live plex system?

A new office I would have as a cloud office also.

Hi George - thanks for the replies - the cloud is something I'm certainly considering - at the moment progress towards this fantaxy Plex environment is bogged down in red tape!

    Best regards,
