Oracle DB init parameter

We are having an issue with a report that causes an ora-0600 error on the database. Oracle has acknowledged it as a bug and one of their workarounds is to set the init parameter "hash_join_enabled" to false (default).

Our Clarity database has this parameter set to true. Does anyone know if having this parameter set to false on the database causes problems in Clarity?

Please consider upgrading to Oracle 10g. There's significant improvements in Oracle, not only bug fixes but performance. Oracle 9i ie EOL so it's time to consider that upgrade option.
