    Hi  ,

In  spectrum for a device where is the data of "Host configuration" tab saved ?

If it is saved where and in which format?

Can we export/inport that to a file ?

    Please provide your inputs.

    Many thanks,

    Regards,

    Ranjit

    Hi Ranjit,

The captured configs actually get stored as models in the SpectroServer DB.

You can configure spectrum to export them to a file

by selecting the Configuration Manager icon from the

oneclick console -> Information tab -> Export Configuration

There you can configure what kind of configurations you want to export

and specify which directory to save them.  We do document this as

well in the NCM user guide.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Daren,

This is what I am working on as well.

I have followed the procedure on exporting host files, it is not working according to what is stated for my system, my text files are saved using "SCM_0x10334e" instead of devicename_timestamp and that creates a problem when a new host file needs to be saved, because it says that the file "SCM_0x10334e" already exist, and this means that I cannot keep historical config files.

Any idea where I can change this to save host files as devicename_timestamp?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Morongwa,

The 'SCM_0xyyyy' name is actually the name of the file which gets created during the initial

transfer of the config from the device over to the tftp server.

As far as I'm aware there is not even an option to modify the format of

the exported ncm file name and it will always be in 'name_datetime' format.

I would suggest opening up a support ticket and we can have a further look

at the situation taking place in your environment.

    Regards,

    Daren

    Hi Daren,

Appreciate your response. I have actually opened a case already a month ago (21867097-1: UNABLE TO CAPTURE NETWORK CONF). Still waiting for assistance.

This feature was working properly before the upgrade from 9.2 to 9.3, we started seeing this behavior after the upgrade, and all our clients are experiencing the same issue after an upgrade.

    Kind regards
