  • 1.  12.8 fp1 RVI agent with vCenter 5.5 platform

    Hi Everyone.

    I have a compatibility doubt between RVI agent with vCenter 5.5,

    I know that ITCM compatibility matrix mentions 12.9 (NOT 12.8) compatible with vCenter 5.5.

    What I expect is that somebody here at CA Community already had implemented RVI 12.8 fp1 with Vcenter 5.5. Is it  working?

    Could you please help me in this way? Do you have any case where a customer (or CA) have installed RVI 12.8 with vCenter 5.5?

    You are correct that VCenter 5.5 is only supported and certified at 12.9 You could try to install and run RVI but we have not tested that hence is not on the compatibility matrix. It may well work but if you run into issues you may be forced to use a supported version of the software in this case 12.9.

    If you are going to try this it should be in a test environment to avoid production outages if any unforeseen happens. The other option you have is to open an idea on this CA Community and ask for support/certification at 12.8 for V Center 5.5 and it can be voted up or down by community members.
