Hello, for reinitializing a node, one can always reinitialize the production data files and that would do.
For renaming a new node, the only thing that is available is the command unirefactorinst but this command is to be used only when the node has not yet had objects created, like during VM instanciation.
Please note that Dollar Universe is a non centralized solution, so the node name is referenced on ALL other nodes declared on the same UVMS, and this node_id is the key for referencing the node, so if a node name changes, its node id changes in consequence, so all references to this node id on ALL data files for all the areas for all nodes in the same UVMS needs to have this node id replaced with the newer one, hence why this is not at all a **** operation neither advised and thus why it was never implemented.
It can definitely cause much more harm and time to recover from a situation like that, than simply doing a uniexp and exporting all the objects of the current node, then modifying the target mu node in the xml and then importing this modified xml referencing the new node into the newly installed node.
Thanks,
Adrian

Subject: Rename DUAS without having to reinstall
Many people have asked for this - us included. There should be a way to rename or reinitialize a node without reinstalling.

Dollar Universe 6.10.01 Windows 2012 R2
This question has been asked before but on earlier versions of Dollar Universe 6.
On v 6.10 there is no longer a license tied to a node name so that is not blocker on renaming a node. It would be useful to be able to rename nodes to organise the system without the need to uninstall and reinstall a perfectly good running node.
Is this possible?
