  • 1.  [Solved] MU Missing From TASK

    Posted Jun 18, 2012 03:13 AM
    Good Day

This is my First time on this Forum, but we have been Using $U for about 5 years now started on 5.1.

We are in the process of Migrating from 5.3.3 to 5.6.  I have done a clean install of $U 5.6 on a Win 2008 R2 x64 VM.  Created ALL Objects new.

I can launch the UPROC with MU successfully.  The UPROC runs and completes.

The issue i have is that when i try to create a TASK all MU's are missing from MU list when i have to select one, hence i cannot create a TASK.  I can create a Template, and have have tried to distribute the Template TASK to the MU.  The Task gets created, but when it runs it FAILS with error no known node or something similar.

Any help would be greatly apriciated.

    Regards

    David

    Hi David,

what is the result of the 2 commands liste below on the Node where you are trying to create the Task?

    - uxlst MU
    - uxlst MUT

Have you patched your DU 5.6 with the latest GA (or even CA) patch level?

Forgot to ask you which GUI are you using: the Windows GCO or UniViewer?

I think I might have resolved it,  the issue seemed to have been the desktop.  We imported a Desktop from a 5.3.3 node to the 5.6 node.

We regressed to the orginal 5.6 desktop and i can now see the MU's in the task.

Any idea why this would be ?

No, but we'll investigate and run a quick test to see if we can reproduce.
