  • 1.  Starting GSS jobs from command line

    Posted Sep 26, 2018 08:51 AM

Hi - I have GSS 3.2 RU7 installed on 2012R2.  I would like to be able to set off GSS jobs via the command line (.BAT files) on this system.

For example, I want "Job 92" to run on machine "PC01".  Is there a way to do this?

I know the drag and drop is very easy, but I am looking to automate as much as I can, e.g., avoid having to log in to the console to set off a job.

    Hi Hobart_Symms,

Take a look at this KB: https://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO2786

AxSched should work with GSS 3.2 but haven´t tried it since the old DS 6.9 days...

In the Deployment Solution Admin Guide at page 373 you will find the documentation..

    https://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC2129

    Hope this helps

    Hi Network23,

I just wanted to follow up and say that AxSched looks like it's going to fit the bill - and much easier than I thought it was going to be.  I just tried it out with a few jobs and it worked successfully!

    Thank you for your help.
