GSS 3.1 Remote Agent Installer Reproducable Crash

    When using the Remote Agent Installer in GSS3.1 MP5, I am able to reproduce a crash every time.

    I select to Add a computer, navigate my AD tree, highlight one or more computers so their name appears in the Computer Name box, click the "UP" arrow at the top, reselect "Entire Network" and then I get this:

    100% of the time I do this.  I know the work around is easy (click OK), but its still an issue

    Update!  I dont even need to add a comp, just clicking the UP arrow, and then Entire Directory, gives this error

    Terry,

    I see you have this post as well as the deadlock error post. What are the specs on your server that you have Ghost Solution Suite installed? CPU cores, ram, OS etc..

    Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard

    Dual Xeon E5-2620v3 2.4GHz 6 Cores each plus HT

    128GB RAM

    Awesome...

    Can you clear the %temp% directory on the server and then retry the agent installation? Sometimes files get stuck in there and can use up all the temp space which causes issues with ghost functionality.

    Did clearing the temp help with the installation of the agents?

    Terry,

    Your server hardware is more than adequate for GSS I would run the Ghost Solution Suite 3.1 MP5 installer once more and see if this resolves the issue.

    If this does not then it would be best to call in and create a case with Ghost Solution Suite technical support.

    no, i was not.  it is very easy to work around this issue, so i have just been avoiding triggering it

    Terry,

    Did you run the MP5 installer again, choosing the repair option? I have tested your steps above and my install of GSS 3.1 MP5 does not freeze and crash when doing those steps.
