Platform Migration

Currently running on premise UIM version 9.02 and looking to replace with a much newer version. As the O.S's are old Windows 2012 R2 I plan to start building a new platform alongside the existing platform, and I was planning to copy over some of the previous platforms configuration files. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on doing this i.e. would it cause any issues on the newer platform?

Hi Kevin, the question I ask is are you using MCS in the old version? If so then copying monitoring configuration over cannot be achieved as its all stored in the database.  You will need to re-define everything in the new env.
If you are still using archive packages to manage your monitoring definitions then you can copy the whole archive over and everything will still be monitored
