  • 1.  Deleted Agent, server removed, RMI Server errors are still popping up??

    We had an agent defined on Apps Man for years.  We removed the agent and all its relationships.  The server was taken offline yesterday and we are getting gobs of RMI Server errors {Agent Validation errors}, every minute.  What is the trick to getting the RMI server to recognize that the server is gone?

    We have seen this sometimes when the agent process is still running on the server pointing at the master. Even though the definition is gone the agent process still has the master's IP/hostname.


    Please go to the agent server and make sure the agent's java processes are killed.

    Hi Douglas,

    If the remote server has been decommissioned / stopped permanently, would deleting the remote agent from GUI be sufficient to stop RMI Server errors?

    Hi Shashank,

    If the remote server has been decommissioned/stopped, deleting the Agent from the GUI should be sufficient to stop RMI Server Error. If you are still seeing errors, you can try to clear them by selecting from the GUI > View > Clear RMI Server Errors.
