Open model dialog box will not display - any ideas?

I have a developer who cannot open any model except the last one he worked in. When he tries to Open Model, the dialog does not appear. Instead it just automatically opens the last model.  Any ideas?

This is what he is not getting.


We were able to circumvent this by renaming the model.ief folder; after that, he got the above dialog box to appear.  Still would like to know if there's another way to fix it.
Does one of the IEF*.DAT or IEF*.WRK files control this?

Hi Doug,

I suspect the developer has inadvertently changed the Toolset > Settings > Paths to have the Models directory set to a specific model.ief directory instead of the directory containing all model.ief directories.

I was able to recreate the same behaviour by doing that.

Default models directory for Gen 8.6 is: C:\Users\USERID\Documents\CA\Gen 8.6\Models

I changed the Settings > Paths directory for Models to be for a sample model I have in that directory i.e. C:\Users\USERID\Documents\CA\Gen 8.6\Models\sample.ief

Now when I use the Toolset and use Open Model for the first time it does not allow me to choose the model and it automatically opens the sample model.

If I then used Open Model a second time it did show me directory C:\Users\USERID\Documents\CA\Gen 8.6\Models to choose the model from.
