October 6, Session Recap

Q: What is the custom app that was mentioned during the capacity planning demo?

A: The app I was referencing is called "PI Throughput/Velocity".  You can find it on the app catalog and we can demo it to you if you want.  I set it to the Feature object, and bucket by Releases.  That turns it into either a Feature Throughput by Release or Feature Velocity by Release (depending on how you configure it)

Q: We needed to change the name of a drop-down value in a customer field and I did a bulk change to change the values to the new value but then I wanted to remove a drop-down value but it complaints as the value is captured in a closed item or recycled item. Is there a way of doing a bulk update of items in the recycle bin?

A: if there are references to the value in either closed projects or recycle bin then it will prevent you from deleting it. We have scripts that can locate these projects for you. I would recommend we work offline on this. We have helped other customers with this issue before. As far as recycle bin references: no, there isn't a way to find them. However, we recommend you purge the recycle bin on a routine basis and that will help. see more here: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/agile-development-and-management/rally-platform-ca-agile-central/rally/rally-administrator-guide/managing-your-workspace/customizing-a-workspace.html

Q: Can someone help me understand if a we have a new user we need to create that had an account under another Broadcom customer subscription how the user account in the old subscription has been updated with the email domain that is is not the subscription email domain?

A: The conflict is explained here: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/4140/error-user-name-conflicts-when-adding-a.html   . There's a distinction between username and email address. a username must be unique across all subscription so you'll get a conflict when trying to recreate it. The email address can be whatever you'd like it to be.

Q: Yesterday another employee tried to pull up a Saved View and it would not load no matter what he did even though it worked fine for me and others. Do you have any insights or recomendations? Could this be cookie or cache related?

A: I would advise you open a support case. You may want to try another browser and even another computer first. If still same issue, perhaps double check their permissions compared to other users that have it working.
