Announcing CA App Synthetic Monitor 8.3

By David Hardman posted Aug 26, 2015 11:02 AM

I’m pleased to announce version 8.3 of CA App Synthetic Monitor (ASM). CA ASM allows you to proactively monitor your customer’s app experience and gives you up to the minute insight. Understanding Web and mobile app performance starts with the end-user regardless of how and when they are accessing the application. CA ASM is a synthetic transaction application monitoring solution that provides end-to-end transaction response-time visibility into cloud, mobile, and Web applications.

CA App Synthetic Monitor 8.3 has several new enhancements. To point out just a few:

  • Integration with CA Application Performance Management (APM) 10 Team Center for an end to end view of synthetic transactions
  • Enhanced UI: easier search, navigation and persistence of monitors
  • Real Browser Monitor (RBM) is no longer bandwidth limited to simplify choices as to which RBM SKU you need
  • Many security updates for the OPMS server which now runs on Debian 8 (Note: the OPMS server 8.3 should be available soon, but customers can still use their 8.2 OPMS with 8.3 ASM)

More information about the features of App Synthetic Monitor 8.3 can be found in the release notes on the documentation wiki: https://wiki.ca.com/display/cacm82/CA%20Cloud%20Monitor
