Cost by Application Dashboard for vRealize Operations 7.0 and 7.5

View application costs per VM using the new Application Costing feature in vRealize Operations.

Cost by Application Dashboard

Installation

  1. Import the view at Dashboards / Views / Import...
    Import View
  2. Click Browse... then select the file named View - Cost per VM.zip
  3. Import the dashboard at Dashboards / Actions / Manage Dashboards / Import Dashboards
    Import Dashboard
  4. Click Browse... then select the file named Dashboard - Cost by Application.zip
  5. The dashboard should now be available in in the dashboard list

Support

This dashboard requires vRealize Operation 7.0 or 7.5 Advanced or Enterprise edition.

So I love this dashboard. It is awesome. I also love the totals at the bottom of the COST BY VM. I know we are assessing cost using the cost DB in VROPS. I think the last update was in August sometime. Is there a way to show me how it calculates MTD VM CPU Cost for example. Somewhere I can look at that besides the VIEW?
