I am getting a fatal error c000021a when ever i shut down the windows xp guest.

The same image was running without any problem on VMWare 15.5.6 on a Windows 10 host
I updated the tools without any change.
If i remove the VMWareTools completely then the error disappears.
If i shut down before login in then the error does not occur.
Also when the Windows XP boot the gradient initial cyan screen (before user login thumbnails appear) refreshes extremely slow.
You can see the color getting brighter bit by bit. (edit: the slow gradient screen was caused because Hyper-V was enabled)
Any ideas or fixes?
PS.
I tried to open a new case with support but i got a token/user not found or some kind of similar error.

Lately i see more people with Windows XP problems, maybe someone from vmware will pay some attention to this one too. It has been too long without an answear.

I'm not sure if it really helps out the original poster, but about a month ago I ran an old Windows XP Guest on Workstation 17.5.2 under Windows 11 23H2. It seemed to work o.k. (Although I vaguely recall that I had to set up some kludge for the sound to work o.k. long ago).

I just tried this XP Guest again under 17.6.3 (for the first time) and it doesn't seem to boot unless I disable 3D acceleration under the display options.

But I didn't see any crash during shutdown though.
