vSphere web page causes high CPU utilization on client browser

After applying 8.0.3.00400 build 24222831 updates to our VMware vCenter Server vm, the client machines are experiencing performance issues. As soon as they login on the vSphere Client web page, the client CPU spikes and stays high. I've tested this on multiple client machines. I've tested with Edge and Chrome. I've cleared browser cache and reset browser to default settings. The vSphere Client is still functional, but there is a spinning circle to the left of my user name in the top right of the web page. This performance problem is also affecting other users when they login to the web page.

What is eating up my CPU and how do I fix it?

To anyone else who might encounter this problem with high cpu utilization on the browser that you're using for vCenter vSphere - here is a little more specific information on what JLX wrote:

The fix is to disable VMware's Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP). Don't confuse this with Microsoft's CEIP. VMware's CEIP is disabled by logging into vSphere as administrator@vsphere.local then Home / Administration / Deployment / Customer Experience Improvement Program - and Leave Program.

I'd also like to recommend to Broadcom VMware developers that they fix this problem. It is common for businesses to restrict their VMware environment, and machines that communicate with their VMware environment. Don't opt-in your customers to this type of stuff - and if your CEIP program can't communicate back to your servers, then stop trying for a while.

Hi Gregg, this is Todor Raykov from VCF PM team, thank you very much for the valuable feedback. We are looking into this issue with the UI engineering team and are planning to fix the performance impact. If you have a feedback to share about vSphere UI pls don't hesitate.
