I have a 7.0.3 instance of vcenter and esxi hosts.

Also...there is an appliance for vRealize Operations 8.2 advanced.

This is not used much but i am hoping to upgrade our entire vsphere environment to 8 in the coming year. With that, i am wondering how i update this vRealize Operations 8.2 Advanced appliance to current. I dont see any upgrade path matrix to get it current but i can see its been renamed to Aria at some point.

WE might just scrap it if it is too much hassle to upgrade and license to current. I do like the functionality but if the upgrade isnt worth it, its likely we will just remove it from the environment.

Is there a guide or a path or any kind of compatibility matrix going from the 8.2 advanced appliance to whatever the latest Aria version is? Where is the process documented? Id like to get this all updated and current before we go to vcenter/esxi 8 if possible.

Hi
Remember that you can only update a product if you have an active support contract. If the support has ended, you can update only to a release whose release date is equal to or earlier than the end date of your support contract
Regarding upgrade steps please see below.
