Hi,

As of yesterday this is the 2nd VM with this issue, 1st it was a Ubuntu, deleted it, now its this one, I have to manually shutdown the VM and restart it for the console to work properly again.

ESXi-8.0U3-24022510, and Open VM Tools are installed..

Any one knows how to fix this issue without restarting the VM again and again..

1. Update VM Compatibility (Hardware Version):
Ensure VM is using hardware version 20 or later (ESXi 8.0-compatible).
Right-click VM → Compatibility → Upgrade VM Compatibility

2.  Check VM Video Settings:
In VM settings:
Set video card to:
Default Settings
Total video memory = 16 MB or higher
3D acceleration = Off (unless you’re using it intentionally)

3. Force Reinstall Open VM Tools:
sudo apt-get remove open-vm-tools
sudo apt-get install open-vm-tools open-vm-tools-desktop
sudo systemctl restart open-vm-tools

4. Try VMRC or HTML5 Console:
vSphere Web Console?
Or VMRC (VMware Remote Console)?
