I was sent a sniffer trace captured on a client connecting to an MSSQL server. In the trace, I noticed some large frame sizes. Most were modestly sized at about 8K but a few were as large ~256K. That latter number seemed a little too large to me.
I tracked down the setting for LRO in VMware and the hosts I looked at are all set to the default value of 32,000 (Net.VmxnetLROMaxLength = 32000). Can anyone tell me if frames larger than 32,000 bytes are normal for the above setting? If not is there way to fix it.
We are using VMware 6.7.
