We have recently (finally) upgraded to VCF 5.2.1.0. We now need to apply some async patches (vCenter/ESXi 8.0 U3e).
We are using an offline depot for patching, which has been working well so far. I would like to download the VC/ESXi update to the depot and apply the patches via SDDC Manager as usual.
I don't seem to be able to get these patches downloaded. If I use OBTU with a SourceVersion of 4.5.0 it downloads everything except the U3e bundles.
According to this KB article (last line of it) we can't use OBTU for async patches in an offline depot, it says to use the Async Patch tool. However this KB specifically says we should be using the Flexible BOM feature in VCF, and not the Async Patch tool. Which is it??
@Wedginald Make sure bundle metadata is refreshed.(Navigate to SDDC Manager → Lifecycle Management → Bundle Management)
Also ,It's recommended to use Async Patch Tool or manually import the bundles into SDDC Manager
