vCenter Compliance Check Failed Before Applying Patches – Need Help!

Hi everyone,

I’m running into an issue where the Automatic Compliance Check before applying VMware patches fails on one of my ESXi hosts (192.168.0.99) in my Homelab datacenter.

Issue Details:

• Error Message: "Task Automatic Compliance Check cannot be completed."
• Target Host: 192.168.0.99
• User: com.vmware.vcIntegrity
• vSphere Version: (Specify your vSphere version here)

What I've Tried So Far:

1. Ran manual compliance check – Still fails.
2. Checked logs – Nothing obvious.

Questions:

1. What additional logs should I check for debugging?
2. Could this be a known issue in a specific vSphere version?
3. Would rebooting vCenter help, or is there another fix?
4. Any other troubleshooting steps I should try?
