Hey Team,

I know that the driver for the ne1000 has been productized in ESXi 8, but I am getting an "Unsupported PCI devices Ethernet Controller" message on one of my hosts for an Intel Pro/1000 Dual Port Server Adapter NIC.

The NIC is currently using the ne1000 driver in 8, so I just want to confirm that this message is expected and should be safe to update. Can anyone confirm for me?

Thanks!

Trying one more time since I plan to update the hosts tomorrow.

Can anyone confirm if I'm safe to update with this message displayed?

FYI-

I went ahead with the update since it was critical and it worked out fine. It scared me a for a bit because it sat on the "Started upgrade" status for 45 minutes before it initiated a reboot. The first host only took about 15 minutes before it restarted, so I thought the host in question had failed, but after it restarted and exited Maintenance mode, all was good.
