Uninstall VMware Workstation 17.5.1

I have installed VMware Workstation Pro 17.5.1 and wanted to do an Update. That fails with a message box popping up and saying a {GUID}.msi File is missing. I then thought I could uninstall the old Version first and then install the new Version. But there is no Option for Uninstall if I go through the Control-Panel/Software or Settings/Installed Apps. I can select change, but then I run into the same Error.

The following image shows a right click in Control-Panel/Software (it's german but Ändern means Change). Option for Uninstall is missing.

I do have administrative rights

The following pops up when i try to Update or run an VMware-workstaion-full-xxxxxxxx.exe 

How can I remove VMware Workstation and then do a reinstall? 

I searched the community, web and Knowledgebase from Broadcom but was not able to find anything helpful.

My Computer runs on Windows 11 24H2 with latest Updates. 

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Aa Aa. Thanks for you response. Strange format with your links but anyway that is exactly the Problem. I'm not able to use any installer. But i found a solution for myself. "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" error when upgrading VMware Workstation 

It's not exactly the same components as for my situation but I managed to Reinstall/Update after removing the corresponding Registry Keys for my situation.

Could you try to use installer https://softwareupdate.vmware.com/cds/vmw-desktop/ws/17.5.1/23298084/windows/core/VMware-workstation-17.5.1-23298084.exe.tar to repair 17.5.1, then update, or uninstall it then install new version?

By the way I don't know if it will work that you install lastest version (to date (20250322) is 17.6.3) https://softwareupdate.vmware.com/cds/vmw-desktop/ws/17.6.3/24583834/windows/core/VMware-workstation-17.6.3-24583834.exe.tar
