Ubuntu 24.04 VM on Mac 15.3.1 JRE Problem

I have been running an Ubuntu 24.04 VM in Fusion 13.6.2 on M2 Mac 15.3.1. Suddenly JRE, which I need to run LibreOffice Base, is not found by Base even though it is present when I check in Terminal. Ant suggestions for a fix.

I'm assuming that you're running LibreOffice in the VM and not the host, and it's the VM where the JRE package isn't being recognized.

I would think that's an Ubuntu issue if the JRE installed in the VM isn't recognized by LibreOffice in the VM.

Take a look at https://www.libreofficehelp.com/how-to-fix-libreoffice-requires-a-java-runtime-environment-error/ - this helped me make sure that LibreOffice recognized the JRE.
