I got the vSphere virtualization system version 5.5. The certificate expired on this system
Self-signed certificates are used.
The VirtualCentral Server service has been stopped on the server itself. When it is launched, it is issued
The VMware VirtualCenter Server service terminated with service-specific error The system cannot find the file specified
But I see it in the logs:
08348 error '[SSO][SsoFactory_CreateFacade]'] Unable to create SSO facade: SSL Exception: Verification parameters
I have prepared the certificate using openssl. And I'm trying to install it using the ssl-update utility.
The database password is requested during the dialog.
Enter vCenter Server administrator password (will not be echoed):
Important: Enter the password carefully. The Certificate Automation Update Tool
does not check the validity of the vCenter Server database password.
A blank or incorrect password will leave the system in an inconsistent state, w
hich will cause the vCenter Server to become unavailable.
If the system becomes unstable due to a bad password, see the Troubleshooting S
ection of KB 2041600.
Enter the vCenter Server original database password (will not be echoed):
It is not entirely clear which password is needed. I know the sa password. Is this the right password?
Or is there another vCenter Server administrator account?
In the list of SQL Server DBMS users, besides sa, I see the following users:
nbu
vcms
visrm
and three databases: DB-SRM with visrm user, DB-vCenter with vcms user, DB-vUpdate.
I assume this is a vcms or nbu user?
