Registering Orchestrator Plugin with vCenter Server 8 does not work

Hello together,

we are installing / upgrading a vCenter 8 environment at the moment and want to keep on using our VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator.

I was able to add the vCenter instance, but what does not work is registering the vRO-Plugin Extensions. The workflow itself for doing that succeeds, but vCenter does not show the plugin. I also restarted vCenter several times and tried the registration workflow in many ways, but the plugin is not available in vCenter.
I followed this manual completely and its the same procedure I used for registering the plugin with vCenter 7, for which it worked.
https://blanketvm.com/2021/03/01/register-vro8-extension-vcenter7/

Hence it seems, its a problem with vCenter 8.

Our vCenter is on version 8.0.3 build 24322831 (should be the latest one) and VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator is on version 8.18.0.

Do you have any idea how to get it working?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Greetings

For Orchestrator 8 you will have to follow this doc: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Aria-Automation/8.18/Using-Automation-Orchestrator-Plugins/GUID-419BF0BD-B06F-4676-9100-0813BCE24A3D.html

The new Orchestrator Plug-in for vSphere Web Client is hosted on the orchestrator appliance (as a remote plug-in), so there are some additional steps.
