We followed this guide: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?legacyId=2039495

Still, our WLAN controller VMs are barely pingable. not sure whats the reason, its latest version, 8.0 compatible. all other vms and vlans are find.

First nic is normal management with packet loss, 2nd nic is VLAN 4095 promisouces enabled because extremenetworks needs that for the antenna access points. it does not have huge traffic (100G Mellanox Nics, an empty Dell ESXi Server) but still the nic goes out of buffers. ive set all parameters that i could find, but its not really working great. any hints what to do except create a ticket for extreme ?

[root@esxi:~] vsish -e get /net/portsets/DvsPortset-2/ports/67108881/vmxnet3/rxSummary | grep "running out of buffers"

   running out of buffers:7652437

[root@esxi:~] vsish -e get /net/portsets/DvsPortset-2/ports/67108881/vmxnet3/rxSummary | grep "1st ring"

   1st ring size:512

   # of times the 1st ring is full:3751268

All parameters are set, even the performance best practice for high load 8.0 by broadcom. still packet loss.
