Internet connection problem with VMWare Workstation 17.5.2

Hello,

 

I have VMware Workstation (for personal use) installed on my computer. I updated it 3 days ago. My problem is that, for the past 2 days, the virtual machines that I launch are no longer connecting to the network, whether in bridge or NAT mode.

 

I have performed the following steps:

- In the virtual machines, I removed and then added the network adapter

- Uninstalled and reinstalled VMware Workstation (latest version)

- Reset the VMware network editor

 

Unfortunately, my problem still persists. Internet connection problem with VMWare WorkstationCould you please provide a solution? Everything was working correctly prior to the last 2 days.

I had a similar problem.  The way I solved it was by using patches put out by end users who - out of charity - did VMWare's work for them.

The patches fix vmmon and vmnet so that they will function.

For later versions of the kernel, you may need to install a different variant of the same repository found here: https://github.com/nan0desu/vmware-host-modules

First, what version of the kernel, and what version of VMware workstation pro are you using?  What is your host OS?
