Hi all,
I'm setting up a home lab environment for vSphere VCSA 8 with four ESXi 8.0 U3 hosts.
I'm encountering an issue while migrating VCSA 8 from a vSS to a vDS, as I'm only using a USB Wi-Fi adapter for my desktop's internet connection. Since I need to set a static IP address for VCSA during the configuration, the ESXi host loses connectivity to VCSA after the migration from vSS to vDS.
Do I need to add a secondary physical NIC to my desktop to serve as a secondary uplink for both vSS and vDS? Alternatively, is there a workaround to achieve this without adding an additional physical NIC?
Is it necessary to create two virtual NICs bridged to a single physical NIC on my home desktop using the VMware Network Editor to simulate a scenario with two physical NICs for two uplinks on a vDS?
Thanks!
Johnny
