I purchased the vmware workstation 17 pro license a few months ago and I currently have version 17.5.2 installed

At the start-up stage it tells me that version 17.6 is available but it doesn't give me the option to automatically update.

Going to the Broadcom portal it doesn't allow me to download and when I try to create my profile it asks me for the Site ID which I don't know and I don't understand how to recover it.

I can't open a ticket because the page remains in a loop and tells me that the token has expired.

I can't do anything else and honestly I'm thinking of switching to something else because it's not possible to waste so much time using a product that doesn't even have decent support.

Since I switched from version 16.x to version 17.x I've also had problems with my Windows virtual machines, they are very slow to start and also in operation even on an i7-13850 laptop with 32GB of RAM and an i9-10900 with 64GB of RAM

I spent over an hour looking for this too.  I finally did get 17.6 located and downloaded without having to know a site ID.

Try this link: https://support.broadcom.com/group/ecx/productfiles?subFamily=VMware%20Workstation%20Pro&displayGroup=VMware%20Workstation%20Pro%2017.0%20for%20Personal%20Use%20(Windows)&release=17.6&os=&servicePk=522390&language=EN

You will still need an account on Broadcom.com ( I assume you already do have one.)

I also got to that link but initially I was not able to download because it told me that downloading was disabled while now it tells me screening required and I still can't download
