Hello:

I am a Fusion/VMtools user and am unable to download the most current 12.4.5 set of VMWare tools. I am receiving the following error message:

"Account verification is Pending. Please try after some time."

I updated my account to Broadcom over a month ago and have received the error since. I saw some other users reporting this issue but didnt see a definitive solution.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm having the same problem with respect to downloads from the support site.  I'm afraid I can't help there.  But, with respect to VMware Tools 12.4.5:  I was able to update Fusion 13.5.2 to 13.6.  (Via the in-app updater.)  When I started-up my Windows 11 ARM VM, I noticed the Virtual Machine menu had an option to "Update VMware Tools".  When I tried it, it installed 12.4.5, so I don't know what they mean when they say it's no longer bundled, maybe future versions won't be?

Fusion 13.6, macOS 14.6.1 M1Max host.

Here's something that a Broadcom support rep had me try -- and looked like it got me around the "Account verification" issue:

Log into the Broadcom Support portal.

In the top menu bar, click on your name, and choose the "My Profile" drop-down.

On the "My Profile" page, click the "Build your profile" button.

In the "Build your Profile" page, click on the "Yes, I want to Build my Profile".

In the dialog that appears, click on a product that isn't already on your profile. The rep I talked to suggested that I choose "Semiconductors".

Then click "Submit". If I remember correctly, another dialog immediately was displayed asking for additional information. I filled that out, and then voila my access to the Fusion downloads no longer resulted in "account verification pending".

Might be worth a try to see if this trick works for you like it did for me.

In case someone from Broadcom might be reading here, the workaround @Technogeezer described did not work for me - or I might have done something wrong.

Technogeezer's solution worked for me too. It required changing my password. Thanks.

The "build profile" trick doesn't work for me. The Fusion download still fails.  I now have two Semiconductor services with "Request sent for approval".  Maybe if I wait for a day or two??

Patience is rewarded after 3 days. My request approved (notified by email), then very tortuous to get to the download - login, set up 2FA (using email address), login again, change password, login again (new password + 2FA email), find the download and it worked!  Thank you @Technogeezer

I even managed to get back here within another 5 minutes!
