after upgrading 17.2.6 my VM's (Both Linux and windows) do not play sounds when my host uses my realtec direct audio (optical cables), but is ok on another (lesser quality) audiocard.
I have tried to change to direct output the audio to realtec (which is shown as an option in settings on both VMs) - but no sound (then obviously also no sounds when setting the host to the lesses quality audio card).
The audio works on both cards on the host, så I know it's not cable or card-trouble :-)
This worked great before my upgrade, so I am considering reinstalling an earlier version (17.2). But the better option would be to get this solved.
I have tried to adjust the audio in VMs also - with no effect, so this is a VMWare issue
