according this example / poc the witness host's vmk0 is reachable over l3.

Do i run in problems if i connect the vmk0 over l2 in the same subnet like the vcenter and the vmk0's of the vsan hosts? For witness traffic i want to use the dedicated vmk1 on the witness host which connects via l3 to dedicated vmk's on the data nodes.

Do you mean that all "three" sites will be on the same L2 for vmk0 (mgmt)? That's not a problem.
