    Hi,

did anybody tested V17.6.1 on Ubuntu 24.4 with kernel 6.8.0-40.

I had to revert from 17.6 to 17.5, just because of kernel issues, so don't want to do that again

Just upgrade on my workstation on kernel 5.15x (Linux Mint 13.2) and I'm having mouse issues on multiple monitors. I'm likely going to downgrade back to 17.6.0 which has been okay except for the usually kcompacd0 / linux memory fragmentation joy.

Dejan Rodiger Please confirm the exact issue you are seeing specific to Kernel whether it's during the installation of Workstation or during launch of Workstation. Share the the vmware ui log file and if possible please share screenshot of the issue as well.

I have to say I don't have any problem with Ubuntu 24.10 guest of Windows 11 24H2. Then I do run the default kernel on a clean install:

    Linux ubuntu2410vm64 6.11.0-8-generic #8-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon Sep 16 13:41:20 UTC 2024 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Out of the box, pretty much everything works: copy and paste ok, resize, full screen, mouse integration, all fine but drag&drop.

    I'm using open-vm-tools.

Did you had to patch ethernet or other kernel modules to work with 6.11.0-8 kernel? Did 17.6.1 correctly patched and install kernel modules, or you had to use any unofficial patch?
