  • 1.  workstation pro .vmx parameter fields

    Is there a document describing the .vmx file parameter fields and their valid values?

    I am running version 16 on a win 11 23H2 host. I created a guest from this machine and noticed in the .vmx file guestOS = "windows9-64". Should it be windows 11-64? I also noticed when creating this quest it did not tell me to install tools the first time I booted it. Should it have prompted me like the older windows guests I have created? It seems to be running without any problems.
