Hello,
I got an issue since few days. My VMs are hitting 100CPU and the VM is not responding to ssh traffic, barely ping once in a while. No matter what VM I start or which user is starting it, after one minute or two the vmware-vmx.exe process hits all the CPU time he can use.
I am sure the VM is not responsible because fresh vm or old one, doesnt matter. For example, I tried to install an AlmaLinux system and during the process of installing (first GUI window asking to process the installation) I got stuck and the CPU usage rises. here are some data:
Dont know what is happening or how I can resolves this. I tried to :
- reinstall vmware
- checked the almalinux checkum for any corrupt ISO file data
- applied all updated available
- Will try reinstall older version to see if that's the cause
OS is Windows 10 22H2
VmWare workstation pro 17.6.2
