  • 1.  Windows volume mount warning for BCD & boot.ini?

    Posted Jul 31, 2009 03:49 PM

    All,

What is this error and how does one correct it? I've run chkdsk & fixmbr on the virtual machine and my local machine but on luck so far. I see

this only on one on my vm systems. The VDDK 1.1 host system is XP Pro SP3 and the vm guest is also XP Pro SP3 on an ESXi server.

    Thanks,

    -Ron

    Hi,

I am also seeing the same issue. Could you kindly let me know if you found a resolution to the issue?

    Thanks.

    • The program was trying to copy a non-existing file (BCD) on XP, so you can ignore the warning.

    • The second warning is an artifact of how the boot.ini reader works - you can safely ignore this.
