Windows codecs.dll fault opening the vm

Hi all

i have tried opening a vm and it loads to the entering the login details I've entered the password and it starts loading and the gives me a window codecs.dll fault 

I tried opening a different VMware and that was ok ,

does this mean it's a faulty vm 

has anyone fixed this before

You don't explicitly say whether Windows start is successful or not.

For all .dll problems there is plenty to be found in google. Just type in your problem and various ways are explained. If your Windows doesn't start at all because of the error, then it gets a bit complicated. Anyway, it can be corrected. And yes, your Windows has a problem.

Hi thanks for the reply 

the windows logo comes up and it gets to the login password screen , then I enter the password and it excepts the password and then the error comes up
