  • 1.  Windows 2000/XP runs very slow in VMware 17.6 & 17.6.1

    Host: HP 战66第四代，AMD R7 5800u, 32GB RAM, SAMSUNG PM981a 1T, Win11 24H2 Enterprise IoT

    In VMware 17.6 & 17.6.1,, Windows 2000/XP installs and runs very slow. It takes a long time to finish OS Setup and the system runs very slow. Windows 98, Me, NT4, and Server 2003 also run slower than 17.5.2 and earlier versions but not so much. Windows 2000/XP needs about 25 minutes to finish OS Setup, which is 5 times longer than 17.5.2. I tried to reinstall 17.6.1 many times but the problem still exists. I feel so disappointed.

    I am experiencing the exact same issue with my Windows 2000 Pro SP4 VM.
